ABA Therapy

Initial Assessment and Treatment Planning

Upon referral, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will conduct a detailed skills and behavioral assessment from which an individualized treatment plan will be developed.

 

Areas we have helped our clients include:

• Decreasing challenging behaviors (tantrums, non-compliance, self-injury, etc.)

• Functional communication training

• Daily living and safety skills

• Social skills

• Play and independent leisure skills

• Toilet training

• Feeding issues

 

All ABA programming is designed and continually monitored by the BCBA.

Ongoing Sessions

Direct services are provided 1:1 by our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) who are supervised regularly by the BCBA. As a small company, we are able to provide ample session time with both the RBT and BCBA present. During each session, data is collected and progress is monitored. The programming is then tweaked based on this data to ensure maximum skill acquisition is occurring and challenging behaviors are decreasing.

 

We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching and recognize that every learner is unique. An individualized blend of ABA methods will be designed to meet each learner's needs. 

 

Caregiver Training

Training parents and caregivers is an integral part of a successful treatment package. It is necessary for family members to understand and implement the strategies applied during 1:1 therapy sessions. The BCBA will use hands-on training to show family members how to use applied behavior analysis with their child.

 

We recognize that a team approach is important to help our clients' progress. Parent consultations occur on a regular basis and our BCBAs are available to attend school meetings and collaborate with other service providers.
